A tribute to a very dear brother and a very good friend

The Lord has called Bro. Larry home. I will always remember him as someone who is willing to go the second mile. I will forever be grateful to him for making me feel that I am somebody worthy. He has made my daughters feel they are important in this world. The swing that he made for them with love will always be treasured and shared.

I will miss you telling my daughter how beautiful she is, kasi kamukha ng Tatay. Kakainis ka...Hehehe... Pero okay lang, at least alam kong kakampi kita...You have made me feel my worth just by being there and just by smiling... yong mga comments mo, kahit simple, laging rock.

Mamimiss kita, Bro.

Paano, kita-kits? Maraming salamat ulit ha? Sa lahat....

Bataan Feast First Anniversary

Tomorrow, July 2, we will be celebrating our first anniversary. It has been a tough and blessed year for us. It was not always a sunny day. The road we traveled was not so easy to pass through. We are all different people with different views in how things work or how things should be done. Despite the many years we all have been together as brothers and sisters, there are still moments when we were not in tune with one another. We have hurt, neglected, abused, fall short of showing and saying our love for one another, although we knew deep inside us that it is that love that has kept us intact in spite of all the trials around us.  The truth remains the same. We are all just a flock of God's servant trying to follow God's call for us. To love and serve Him and His people, despite ourselves.

Tomorrow, only the victory of our awesome God shall surface and shine among us all and to all the Bataan servants and attendees. After all, it is in our own weaknesses and shortcomings that God's strength is more seen and glorified!

Tomorrow, once again, as God has always proven, His majesty and victory shall break forth into our lives. To Him be all glory, power, praises, and thanksgiving forever! Amen!

Happy Anniversary, Father God! Happy Anniversary, brothers and sisters!

Superblessed Friday!

The house was "actually" rocking with praise and worship singing and dancing last night at the Bataan Feast. One sister exclaimed it was like she watched a jam packed concert at the Araneta. Grabe and energy!

A new attendee shared at the retreat this morning that it was her first time to attend a Feast lat night. She said that as she was going up the venue, she felt her body sensing the place so filled with the Holy Spirit. She narrated that as the worship was going on, she really felt so happy with the singing and dancing, and felt so much at peace. When she got home, she still can feel the love and joy she experienced at the Feast.

The talk of Bro. Carl Fontanilla, 6th of the OMG Series where he discussed about God's love summarizing all that He is to us, being a Father, Healer, Provider, Defender, and Protector sums up to only one thing. That He is Love. Many were touched and experienced healing and renewed strength as Bro. Carl ministered to the assembly with his inspiring prayers and a solemn worship. This was followed by another "tsunami" effect joyful song claiming that Jesus is the only way to the Father and to experiencing a love so overwhelming.

On April, we will hold the Feast weekly. With God's grace, more people will be super blessed and will be able to experience Jesus, fresh every time. See you on April 8 for the next awesome Feast Bataan.

Tahanan ng Ilaw

We held our very first Bataan Feast at our new home, Tahanan ng Ilaw last March 11, 2011. It was a dream come true. We now have a home to call our own. It was an overwhelming feeling holding our worship at this lovely place. It was overflowing with brothers and sisters who joined us in celebrating the Feast and experiencing once again the abundant joys and blessings God generously showered upon all of us. Thank you, Lord.

We're moving to a new home

This 2011 is proving itself a really wonderful year. We started this year with Kerygma Feast happening twice a month from the previous once a month gathering we were holding last year. Many attendees became regular in coming to the event every other week. Last February 11, Bro. Rudy graced the gathering by giving a truly inspiring talk. It was a source of hope to many who listened to that talk. One attendee sent me a text message saying she was very thankful she attended, it was her first time. She said that she has lots of problems, and the talk almost made her cry many times because she was feeling rather hopeless. But the talk renewed her strength. The talk is about God being our Great Provider. And indeed He is. He has provided LOJ-Pilar with so many blessings the last 6 months we were holding the Kerygma Feast. We were able to buy musical instruments, amplifiers, pay for the rental of the venue, feed the guests, among others. Some volunteered to help out in the Worship Ministry, set up committee, and food committee. A priest has also been very generous in giving his time to celebrate the Holy Mass. Oh, so many big and small blessings.

The venue we were holding the event now is to be used as a government office. Again, the Lord proved His faithfulness by giving us a new place, all to our own, which we can utilize everyday and not just on Feast days. We can put all LOJ-Pilar's things there now. We can use the place for CG meetings, Worship Ministry practices, etc. And the Lord gave it to us at a price we can safely afford. It is also more accessible to attendees being located at the national road of our town. God is great.I think we will call it Tahanan ng Ilaw.

And yes, we are now Feast Bataan. Yipee... God is awesome. ;]
